An ode to resourceful and resilient farm folk, The Homesteader is part of our mini lip balm collection celebrating the plants and growing spaces where we gather and grow. This is the firmest balm in the collectionโ€”yet still spreads easily and offers long-lasting protection. Its texture is reminiscent of classic farm-style balms, with great stay power for daily use.

The formula features grass-fed, pasture-raised beef tallow and sheep lanolin sourced from small, organic, regenerative farms. Lanolin is what makes this balm unique: it mimics the skinโ€™s natural lipids, providing deep hydration, protective occlusion, and enhanced barrier support. Blended with antioxidant-rich Calendula, Peppermint, and Rosemary, this balm soothes, refreshes, and nourishes while giving a subtle herbal aroma reminiscent of a thriving homestead. Packaged in a home-compostable push-up tube made with plant-based inks, gums, and glue, itโ€™s eco-conscious and skin-friendly.

    - contains certified organic essential oils of Peppermint & Rosemary
    - not recommended if you have a wool allergy due to the Lanolin. If you are fine with Burtโ€™s Bees lip balm, then this will work for you (probably better!)

    • Free of sodium sulphates, parabens, synthetics, fragrances, preservatives & toxic ingredients.

    • External use only: Test a patch of skin before continuous use. Discontinue use if any skin irritation occurs.

    • Push lip balm up gently from the bottom. Apply to lips as often as needed.

    • Store out of heat & sunlight when possible. The lip balm formulas stay solid even at high temperatures, so it can be left in a hot car if necessary. Do not send through the wash.

    • Tube is 100% plastic free & HOME COMPOSTABLE. Compost the tube when empty.
