Natural Dye Care

Care instructions to maintain quality of natural color over time.

If necessary, hand-wash with a gentle, eco friendly pH neutral soap, or a natural soap like Castile soap. *Natural fibers do not need to be washed as often as synthetic (plastic) fibers. Only wash when necessary. Gentle spot treatment is recommended. If fabric comes in contact with citrus juice or anything acidic, immediately rinse and wash to prevent any color shifts.
Hang or lay flat to dry out of direct light.
Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause fading over time.
Hand washing is suggested, but if machine washing is needed - wash on delicate, cold cycle with pH neutral, natural detergent. Hang or lay flat to dry.

Each textile is dyed by hand in small batches. There are variations of color that are inherent and unique to the natural dye process. Color variations are natural and are inherent to the natural dye process, they are what make your plant dyed piece truly one of a kind — just like you.
Proper fiber preparation has been done to ensure a dyed textiles are light-fast and wash-fast.
With mindful care, pieces will last many moons. Pieces can be re-dyed and reclaimed by soil (composted) at the end of their life.
